The England vs Slovenia live stream is an important game for The Three Lions as they look to progress to the first knockout stage of Euro 2024
England only need a draw to guarantee themselves a spot in the Round of 16, but a convincing win is required to quell the negative noise surrounding the Three Lions camp. After an extremely lackluster performance against Denmark, which saw England once again take the lead early and then sit deep only to concede and settle for a draw, questions have been asked of both head coach Gareth Southgate and the English players. Now is the time to answer those doubts with a resounding win, and bounce into the next round with some momentum. Southgate may look to make dramatic changes in the hopes of a response.
Slovenia will likely need a win if they are to avoid being eliminated from Euro 2024 at the group stage so expect an attacking-minded performance (which could suit England as they have the players to counter with pace). While the side’s two 1-1 draws against Serbia and Denmark have shown a degree of resilience, they have been lacking in attacking intent, and that’s something they will need to find here as a draw doesn’t really suit them at this stage.

A narrow win over Serbia was followed by a dismal draw with Denmark, who considered themselves unlucky not to beat the Three Lions.
Gareth Southgate is expected to avoid the temptation to ring the changes.
The Three Lions will introduce Conor Gallagher as a more natural fit for their midfield ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
But Anthony Gordon, Cole Palmer and Ollie Watkins must all make do with a spot on the bench despite clamour for their introduction - a decision which will leave Phil Foden on the left wing.
Luke Shaw is once again unavailable despite a return to training and Kieran Trippier has overcome a calf issue to make the squad.
Slovenia are contending with an injury concern for Benjamin Sesko.
Matjaz Kek is set to stick with that team and a 4-4-2 formation which looks to press teams in their own half and hit their big men with crosses from out wide.
On paper, England should have no trouble dispatching a Slovenia side who are only impressed in brief flashes. But the same can also be said about the Three Lions, who have underwhelmed across their opening two games.
England have got four points to their name so far at Euro 2024, but their 1-0 win over Serbia and 1-1 draw with Denmark have been far from convincing. The critics have the knives out and Gareth Southgate will be demanding much better from his squad.
It's two games and two 1-1 draws for Slovenia so far, but they were a matter of mere minutes from securing a first ever European Championship win when they were denied by a Serbia equalizer in the 95th minute last time out.
England attempt to seal top spot in Group C with a more front-footed display as they take on Slovenia in Cologne tonight. It has been a relatively underwhelming start to Euro 2024 from the Three Lions, despite the fact they sit top of their group with four points. After taking the lead against Serbia and Denmark, England failed to kick on and have consistently dropped deep and adopted a passive approach.
Declan Rice has promised that will not be the case this time, as England attempt to pick up all three points and finish top of the group, avoiding a last-16 clash with Germany. Gareth Southgate is expected to end his experiment of playing Trent Alexander-Arnold in midfield, with Conor Gallagher set to come in for his first start of the tournament.
Victory for Slovenia would send them into the knockout stages of a major tournament for the first time, while a point could be enough to progress as one of the best third-placed teams. Draws in both their matches so far have given them hope, and Matjak Kek will hope his side can take advantage of an England team struggling for confidence.
The game at RheinEnergieStadion will convene after Gareth Southgate's men were held to a 1-1 draw by Denmark, while the Slovenians were meted with the same fate against Serbia last time out.
England get a huge injury boost with Luke Shaw's return to full training, with the Manchester United man possibly replacing Kieran Trippier at left-back against Slovenia.
And with Bellingham pushed in a deeper role, Phil Foden can be flanked by Bukayo Saka and either Anthony Gordon or Eberechi Eze, just behind Harry Kane.
Midfielders Adam Gnezda Cerin and Timi Max Elsnik are minor doubts, while it is to be seen if captain Jan Oblak will start in between the sticks or not after the Atletico Madrid man missed Saturday's training for reasons unknown.
Slovenia shared the same scoreline with the Scandinavian national and would be heading into this contest level on points with England but for Luka Jovic's last-gasp equalizer when they played Serbia in Munich.
Trent Alexander-Arnold's deployment as a central midfielder has come in for criticism during England's underwhelming opening to the tournament. Southgate himself described the selection as an "experiment" and it might now have run its course.
Conor Gallagher is the favorite to come into the side, which would probably mean a tactical tweak to the 4-3-3 that served England well en route to the quarterfinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where Jordan Henderson shuttled effectively alongside Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice.
